International Politics (Globalisation, Poverty and Development)

This course provides an understanding of globalisation and development. It places special emphasis on the problem of poverty and its relation to global justice and global politics. Students study the political, social and economic causes, consequences and discourses of poverty and development. They also critically analyse these important global currents.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree or above, or international equivalent, in international studies/politics or a related discipline. Applicants with lower or non-standard qualifications who have relevant professional experience will be considered. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
