Latin American Interdisciplinary Studies
This course will develop students' understanding of the Latin American region from the perspectives of history, politics, society, culture, environmental politics and development studies. It also provides the opportunity to develop their language skills in Spanish, Portuguese or the Quechua language.
A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in any relevant subject area within arts, humanities or social sciences; experience of Latin American studies is desirable; native English speaking applicants must have studied another language at minimum GCSE level to study beginners Spanish or Portuguese as part of the MA; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
