Research supervision is available in the following areas: Oral health services research and health economics; oral health and nutritional challenges in the elderly; pathobiology of periodontal disease; genetics of tooth development; oral inflammatory disease and diabetes; cellular mechanisms within gut and bacteria; and biomaterials surface science.

Entry requirements

MPhil A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in a science or medicine related subject. PhD A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent. Further research experience or a master's degree would be advantageous. Candidates whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5, or equivalent.
