Clinical and Health Sciences with Ageing

The online course enables students to tailor their educational needs to their professional interests. Designed for busy professionals, this course offers a flexible, bespoke way for students to expand their knowledge of the mechanisms of ageing, age-related disease and research. Changing demographics have led to an increasing old population. This has resulted in a greater need to understand the mechanisms of ageing, age-related disease, to undertake research with older people and to prescribe appropriately.

Entry requirements

An honours degree, or international equivalent, in a healthcare profession or relevant discipline and working in the healthcare profession or related field. We will also consider applications on an individual basis if you have lower or non-standard qualifications and are working in the healthcare profession or related field. If your first language is not English then you will need to meet one of the following criteria: you have achieved IELTS 7.0 (with a minimum of 7.0 in writing and reading and at least 6.5 in speaking and listening) , Pearson's PTE Academic Test 62, or equivalent: you have been educated in an English-speaking country that is exempt from the University's English Language Assessment; you can provide other evidence of a high level of competence in English, eg successful completion of A- levels or an undergraduate course taught in English. You must be IT literate to complete these highly interactive courses online and have access to a computer with a printer, webcam, headset and a reliable Internet connection.
