Organic Farming and Food Production Systems
This course provides students with an in-depth specialisation in organic farming and food production systems. Students learn and test the latest approaches in the integrated delivery of soil, crop and livestock, and food supply chain management. There is the opportunity to attend a 10-day field trip as part of the module on Mediterranean perennial crop production systems in Crete, Greece. As part of their studies students will also undertake a major project, similar to one they might experience in the workplace. Students are supported through training in designing and delivering a laboratory project or field-based investigation.
A 2.2 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant subject. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
