Industrial and Commercial Biotechnology

This programme is designed for students from a variety of backgrounds with varied levels of biotechnology experience. It develops an understanding of contemporary molecular biology and biotechnology principles and practices. Students gain the skills and knowledge base required for employment in the biotechnology industry. This course covers the scientific principles needed to give you an advanced understanding of contemporary industrial biotechnology. It helps develop generic practical skills in: handling micro-organisms; molecular biological techniques; data analysis.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree in a related discipline such as biological sciences, chemistry, or chemical engineering (e.g. biology biotechnology/bioscience/biological sciences/ pharmacy). Applicants whose 1st language is not English require a minimum of IELTS 6.5, or equivalent.
