Research supervision is normally available in the following areas: Freight and traffic loading; public transport management and operations; traffic management and control; road traffic safety and accident analysis; transport emissions and the environment; transport telematics and image processing; intelligent transport systems (ITS); travel behaviour; highway design and engineering; operating speed models; environmental impact and monitoring of transport activities.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in a related subject; applicants whose 1st language is not English normally require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent; International applicants may require an ATAS (Academic Technology Approval Scheme) clearance certificate prior to obtaining their visa and to study on this programme, applicants will be informed of this in the offer letter.
