Transport Planning and the Environment

This course is for those who wish to work in the transport profession and have an understanding of transport, environmental intrusion, its measurement and mitigation. It draws on the latest research in these areas, some of which is being carried out by Newcastle's Transport Operations Research Group. The course will provide a sound overview of the transport profession, with specific teaching about air pollution and the modelling of emissions.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in any engineering or science subject, geography, town planning or maths. Applicants with a qualification in a different subject to those listed above, a lower or non-standard qualification and those who have significant, relevant industry experience will be considered. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require a minimum of IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 6.0 in all sub-sections) or equivalent.
