This course provides a combination of research and industrial training. Students spend the majority of your time in industry developing scientific and engineering techniques and management skills. Students have the opportunity to evolve techniques to tackle today's water sector challenges such as climate change, increasing populations, energy efficiency and pollution control. STREAM is the Industrial Doctoral Centre (IDC) for the water sector, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and companies who sponsor research projects. The STREAM programme is delivered by a consortium of five universities, all of which are centres of excellence in water science and engineering.

Entry requirements

A 1st Class or 2.1 Honours degree and/or Master's degree in environmental engineering, microbiology or related environmental and life sciences programmes. Applicants whose 1st language is not English need IELTS 6.5.
