Environmental and Petroleum Geochemistry

This course is an introduction to environmental geochemistry for graduates who wish to follow a research-oriented career path. It also equips students with advanced understanding, knowledge and specialist technical skills for a career the environmental industry with a specialism in the interactions between petroleum and the environment.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree, or an international equivalent, in: chemistry; earth science; environmental science; geology; applied science; geochemistry; industrial chemistry. Applicants are also considered on an individual basis with lower or non-standard qualifications and at least two years of relevant experience. Applicants whose first language is not English need an overall IELTS score of 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in all sub-skills).
