Hydrogeology and Water Management

This course provides students with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the nature, occurrence, characterisation and management of groundwater. This course provides theoretical and practical quantitative training relevant to the needs of the water and environmental engineering industries. Assessment is by formal written examination, coursework, a dissertation (often in collaboration with industry) and a poster presentation.

Entry requirements

A 2nd Class Honours degree or international equivalent, in subjects such as: engineering; geography; environmental sciences; earth sciences; mathematics; physics; geology; chemistry; computer sciences; geomatics. Applicants with different or non-standard qualifications will be considered on an individual basis, particularly if you have relevant industrial experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-section) or equivalent.
