The course is designed for practising professionals and graduates, meets the standards for the Transport Planning Professional qualification. Students develop and apply advanced skills and understanding to the planning, management and operation of transport systems. Modules are normally taught in blocks and supplemented by research seminars, site visits, engagement with local industry and visits from professional institution practitioners. After you complete the taught modules you will go on a field trip to France and Germany to examine how transport systems operate in less familiar environments.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold a higher education qualification in engineering, quantitative or a transport related discipline. Candidates are considered on an individual basis and relevant work experience is taken into account. Applicants whose first language is not English normally require IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each category, or equivalent.
