Computer Security and Resilience
This course equips students with the skills to develop and assess computing systems that have to be secure and safe in the face of failure or attack.
A minimum of a 2.2 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in computer science or a discipline with significant computing content such as mathematics, engineering or systems engineering; applicants with lower or non-standard qualifications will be considered on an individual basis provided they have several years of relevant industrial computing experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Modules include: System security; system validation; the challenge of dependable systems; information security and trust; human factors engineering; high integrity software development; research skills; group project in computer security and resilience; project and dissertation in computer security and resilience; advanced programming in java or object-oriented programming.
