Synthetic Biology

The course provides core synthetic biology skills with a significant focus on synthetic biology research and will also equip graduates with the necessary balance of molecular biology, engineering, computing and modelling skills necessary to position themselves ideally for careers in synthetic biology in industry or academia.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree in computing science or a maths based subject, a 2.2 Honours degree in any biological science based subject (such as genetics, biochemistry or biology), or an international equivalent of the qualifications listed; applicants with degrees in related subjects not listed above or lower/non-standard qualifications with significant industrial or professional experience will be considered; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
