Automation and Control
This course provides relevant training to engineering graduates who wish to pursue a career in fields such as: intelligent manufacturing; production units and distributed control systems; or in general advanced control applications. It covers the latest information on advanced control methods as well as focusing on systems integration utilising specific field buses.
A 2.2 BEng Honours degree, or international equivalent, in electrical and electronic engineering, computer engineering, or a related subject such as mechanical engineering, physics, communications or information and control engineering; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0, or equivalent.
Modules include: Industrial automation, robotics and artificial intelligence; distributed control systems; advanced control systems; state space analysis and controller design; coursework; electrical power and control project; individual project. Optional modules: Signal processing and estimation; advanced multimedia systems; power electronics; control of electric drives; power systems operation.
