Supervision is available in our three research groups: Bayesian methodology, bioinformatics and biostatistics. Postgraduate research proposals are welcome in any of these three areas. Research postgraduates in the School of Mathematics and Statistics are supported by a team of experts in their chosen fields. They also have the opportunity to develop and enhance their skill set through appropriate research training. PhD students are supported by team supervision. They also go through a research training analysis to identify any skills that they need to develop. The deparment has broad research interests covering applied and medical statistics, and a lively seminar programme.
