Mathematics and Statistics

This course combines taught Masters' level modules with doctoral level study and will provide an opportunity to make a unique contribution to mathematics and statistics research. Supervision for the research element is broadly organised under the following areas: pure mathematics; applied mathematics; Bayesian statistics; biostatistics.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in mathematics or statistics. MMaths and MPhys degrees are also accepted. Applicants whose 1st language is not English need an overall IELTS score of 6.5. International students may need an ATAS (Academic Technology Approval Scheme) clearance certificate. Applicants need to get this before you can get your visa or study on this programme. We will let you know about the ATAS requirement in your offer letter.
