Sustainable Buildings and Environments

This course enables students to gain proficiency in designing sustainable buildings and built environments. Students are set the challenge of designing to reduce the carbon footprint, without compromising the socio-cultural and economic significance of your architectural designs. The course is designed for architects and is fully integrated with the Masters in Architecture (MArch) design studio. This sets it apart from other sustainable buildings courses in the UK. A European study tour to Berlin, to visit and study sustainable buildings, forms part of the course.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree in an RIBA/ARB accredited Part 1 course, or international equivalent. Applicants who have a Part 2 or Part 3 RIBA/ARB qualification will be accepted. All applicants must submit an electronic portfolio of no more than 10 pages, preferably in a pdf format. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
