Chaplaincy with Young People

In your role as a Chaplain it is essential to develop one's skills and understanding to provide high quality pastoral and spiritual care in the setting in which you work. This part time, work-based course is primarily aimed at those working in Chaplaincy contexts, particularly, though not exclusively, with young people. We offer a professional development qualification drawing on multi-disciplinary approaches to working with people, as well as offering a further grounding in both the pastoral and theological aspects of their Chaplaincy role. Our partners include Birmingham Archdiocese Diocesan Educational Services (DES) and the Diocesan Youth Service, who run a network of Chaplains in schools. Newman continues to make additional links with other networks including Muslim Chaplains, Prison Chaplains, Hospital Chaplains, University Chaplains and Chaplains in other diverse areas.
