Project Management

This course will give you project management skills that are widely transferable. Strong demand for project managers means the average salary for experienced professionals is £62,000 a year, or equivalent*. The course covers topics such as how to assess project feasibility, how to manage risks in projects, how to keep people working together, and how to develop a portfolio of projects. The curriculum is aligned with the academic requirements of the Association for Project Management (APM), which is the UK's largest professional body for project managers. The course is also available through part-time and distance learning modes, and with the option of an advanced practice element. Entry requirements

MSc: Applicants should have: Standard entry requirements 2:2 or above from a recognised university Non-standard entry requirements An equivalent professional qualification with 2 years professional practice experience in project management or a related field. Mature applicants lacking standard academic qualifications may be considered for entry if s/he has demonstrable work experience over 5 years MSc: A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree, or an equivalent professional qualification with practice experience will be considered. Assessment methods

Your tutors will use a variety of teaching methods, which may include lectures, seminars, problem-based workshops, case discussions, practical activities, group work and tutorials. Teaching is backed up by a well-designed support system that will underpin your learning journey. You will have access to a Guidance Tutor with whom you can discuss any academic issues. Extensive feedback from both tutors and peers is built into the course.
