Project Management

Project management is a highly valuable skill, involving the coordination of multiple work streams to deliver projects on time, within budget and resource constraints, and according to stakeholder expectations. To be a successful project manager you need to be a strong communicator, with the leadership skills to inspire widespread engagement with the project. This MSc Project Management will focus on developing your competence as a well-rounded project or programme leader alongside the wider leadership and management skills required to succeed in any organisation or sector. Live industry projects play a key role and have involved clients such as Volvo, Airbus, Balfour Beatty, the NHS and Google.

Entry requirements

MSc: Applicants should have: Standard entry requirements 2:2 or above from a recognised university Non-standard entry requirements An equivalent professional qualification with 2 years professional practice experience in project management or a related field. Mature applicants lacking standard academic qualifications may be considered for entry if s/he has demonstrable work experience over 5 years

Assessment methods

Your tutors will use a variety of teaching methods, which may include lectures, seminars, problem-based workshops, case discussions, practical activities, group work and tutorials. Teaching is backed up by a well-designed support system that will underpin your learning journey. You will have access to a Guidance Tutor with whom you can discuss any academic issues. Extensive feedback from both tutors and peers is built into the course.
