International Financial Management

Developed in response to market demand, this course examines complex financial issues from the point of view of the investor and the organisation. It provides you with the essential skills to function as an effective manager, both within the financial sector and across a range of multinational organisations. The course focuses on sector relevance, leadership and self-development. It is regularly refreshed to keep pace with advances in the financial management sector and it is benchmarked against syllabuses of the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA). Current study themes include investment and risk management, sustainable strategic decision making, corporate financial management and international financial markets, supported by a number of professional development modules to give you a competitive advantage. Facilities include Newcastle Business School's trading room which features Bloomberg Terminals that are used by top traders throughout the world providing you with access to the latest data, information and analytics to support your studies.

Entry requirements

MSc: A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent. Your tutors will use a variety of teaching methods, which may include lectures, seminars, problem-based workshops, case discussions, practical activities, group work and tutorials. Teaching is backed up by a well-designed support system that will underpin your learning journey. You will have access to a Guidance Tutor with whom you can discuss any academic issues.
