Professional Practice in Computing and Information Technology
This course is aimed at practicing professionals who want to progress up the career ladder through higher education but have a limited amount of time to commit to study. This programme places an emphasis on developing and applying the knowledge, skills and competencies required for successful professional practice, allowing you to demonstrate a clear return of investment for each module completed. This programme has been designed with a mix of directed and independent learning activity supported by individual tutoring.
MSc: Minimum 2.2 (2nd Class) Honours degree, or equivalent academic or professional qualification. Or candidates must be able to demonstrate (through a CV) a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience at managerial level. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate engagement in recognised CPD activity equating to 72 hours in the last 2 years. MSc: Applicants must: Be employed Hold one of the following: 2:2 or above from a recognised university or An equivalent academic qualification or An equivalent professional qualification Non-standard entry requirements Mature applicants lacking standard academic qualifications may be considered for entry if s/he has a minimum of 2 years demonstrable work experience at managerial level and is able to fulfil the objectives of the programme All candidates must also be able to demonstrate engagement in recognised CPD activity equating to 72 hours within the last two years. Recognised CPD activity typically relates to certified training, accredited or non-accredited learning activities. These can be via a training provider, professional body or be completed as part of your employment.

Assessment is by coursework.
