Business with Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Specialist modules cover strategic procurement and how to manage the sustainability, quality and risks of supply chains. You'll develop your research skills through a master's dissertation or an investigative consultancy project. In the second year of this course you'll undertake study in another country for one semester. Employers often prefer applicants who have a strong international awareness and studying abroad will help you stand out from others. Our partner institutions offer study related to the areas of operations, logistics and supply chain management and will increase your experience. The course culminates in either a master's dissertation or, if you prefer, a consultancy project. The dissertation is discipline specific, whilst the group consultancy project - where you'll tackle an issue faced by a real client - is positioned in an area of relevance to the programme. There is no requirement to have studied business or LCSM at undergraduate level.
Your tutors will use a variety of teaching methods, which may include lectures, seminars, problem-based workshops, case discussions, practical activities, group work and tutorials. Teaching is backed up by a well-designed support system that will underpin your learning journey. You will have access to a Guidance Tutor with whom you can discuss any academic issues. Extensive feedback from both tutors and peers is built into the course.
