The programme provides the managerial and leadership capabilities, to assist or direct organisation to become more effective and efficient in a rapidly changing, complex and knowledge based economy. The programme covers reflective practice and experiential learning. Students engage with principles and theories of business, management and organisation, which provide frameworks for reviewing, reflecting, analysing and critiquing existing individual and organisational practices. Students also develop new knowledge and skills, which enable enhanced and more appropriate practices to be encouraged. The outcome of this process is a critical appreciation, in order to build strategic capabilities and to understand contemporary management and organisational issues in a context of change.
Modules include: business research analysis; human resource management and development; leaders and their context; marketing management: a relationship approach; financial management; operations management and organisational improvement; contemporary aspects of international management practice; strategy and change in a global environment; entrepreneurship theory and practice.
