The course covers the dynamic role of information and library work in the information society and knowledge-based economy and develops the knowledge and skills needed to handle effectively the storage, retrieval, analysis and communication of information.

Entry requirements

A degree or equivalent required. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based).

Course modules

Modules include: research methods for information management; organising knowledge; managing in the information environment; collection management; hypermedia for the information professional; cataloguing and classification; data, law and ethics.

Assessment methods

A variety of assessment methods are used, including essays, portfolios and reports. There are no exams.
