This course develops understanding and skills needed for managing records in the increasingly complex electronic environment and dynamic organisational contexts, enabling students to adapt to organisational, cultural and technological change.

Entry requirements

Lower 2nd Class (2.2) Honours degree or above. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based) or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: research methods for information management; recordkeeping practice: systems, tools and procedures; recordkeeping principles: theory and concepts; organising knowledge; managing in the information environment; electronic record keeping; data, law and ethics.

Assessment methods

There are no examinations. All modules are assessed by prescribed assignments, some of which are based in the student's workplace, i.e. reports, discussions, critical evaluation of theoretical concepts and issues, practical exercises.
