Professional Engineering

The course has been developed as part of a Government funded initiative and on behalf of the Engineering Council (ECuk). It takes place in the workplace and is directly relevant to what students are working on, whilst furthering their education and working towards professional body recognition and eventually chartered status.

Entry requirements

Applicants should be currently employed in industry; minimum of an accredited lower 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent; applicants should be members of the relevant professional body (IMechE or IET) and be seeking chartered status; professional qualifications that are equivalent to an Honours degree may also be acceptable. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based) or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: learning contract and managing own learning; research and project management; a range of optional modules.
