This course develops a broad, general education in the theory and practice of computing, managing computing solutions, knowledge of current and emergent technologies and business/industry awareness.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent, and normally in a computing-related discipline; professional qualifications equivalent to an Honours degree may also be acceptable. English language requirements are IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based) or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: project; implementation of object oriented designs; artificial intelligence for applications; decision support systems; systems development workshop; wireless computer network technology; systems security management; research and project management.

Assessment methods

Each module on the course is separately assessed. This could be by either coursework assignments and/or examinations. Assignments can take the form of research reports, systems analysis documentation, or programming exercises, as appropriate for the module; as well as the individual MSc project.
