Strength and Conditioning

This course provides students with an excellent opportunity to acquire a systematic and critical understanding of the knowledge, and practical competencies, required by strength and conditioning professionals.

Entry requirements

Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in a relevant discipline (such as sports science, sports performance and coaching, physical education, physiotherapy etc). Applicants from other disciplines may be admitted where they can demonstrate knowledge in anatomy and physiology as determined by the programme leader.

Course modules

Modules include: exercise prescription for health disorders and special populations; dissertation; contemporary issues and professional practice; applied strength and conditioning; high performance coaching in strength and conditioning; physiology of strength conditioning; research methods.
