Disaster Management and Sustainable Development

This course develops understanding of disaster management and sustainable development including frameworks and skills for addressing contemporary hazards, disasters and complex emergencies, in both post-development and majority world contexts.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree in an appropriate subject. Where English is not the 1st language of instruction: IELTS 6.5 TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based).

Course modules

Modules include: project management: approaches and methods; dissertation; research methods for disaster and development; themes in sustainable development; disaster risk reduction and response.
