International Sport Management

During this course students are encouraged to think critically and innovatively, and to engage with a host of international sport organisations. Students develop their ability to think strategically, apply the principles of sport management in an international context and to construct solutions to international sport management issues. There is a residential visit to an international sport event organisation. The programme encourages interactive learning through the use of case study material, live projects and close collaboration with sports practitioners.

Entry requirements

2.2 Honours degree preferred in a sport discipline. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based).

Course modules

Modules include: international resource management for sport; international sport event management; strategic management in sport; the research process; the sport marketing process; applied sport research project.

Assessment methods

All assessments are applied to the practice of international sport management and examples of these include case studies, real life projects, plans, reports and presentations.
