This course develops understanding of the composition of food and the interaction of these components both within food products and the human body.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant science subject. Where English is not the 1st language of instruction: IELTS 6.5 TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based).

Course modules

Modules include: project; nutrient analysis and sensory perception a; subject exploration; food policy; aspects of food processing; food safety and quality; graduate science research methods.

Assessment methods

The modules are assessed via combinations of coursework, laboratory reports and seminar presentations.
