The course is designed to offer the opportunity for health practitioners and those working in health care organisations to focus on practices, policies and drivers in relation to their impact. The intention is to create the conditions in which students can reflect on issues that are relevant to their own professional work. The programme enables individuals to consider the implications of their learning, reading and enquiry for policy and practice in their own area of interest.

Entry requirements

A degree or proven appropriate knowledge and experience at degree level. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based) or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: research skills: approaches, designs and methods; public health fundamentals: concepts, theories and frameworks; leadership and collaborative working in public health; managing health improvement through social marketing.
