Clinical Exercise Physiology

This course focuses on the study of acute physiological as well as pathophysiological responses to physical activity and how regular exercise alters human form and functional capacity.

Entry requirements

Normally a 2.1 Honours degree in sport science, physical education, physiotherapy or other related field. English language requirements are IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based) or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: clinical research governance and research methods; contextualising clinical exercise physiology; exercise psychology; epidemiology, aetiology and pathology of health disorders and special populations; clinical competencies and assessment skills; exercise prescription for health disorders and special populations; clinical exercise physiology dissertation; sport and exercise science dissertation.
