The programme addresses key issues: the provision of women-centred care, maintaining normality in childbirth, the development of essential skills for midwives and the role of the midwife in the promotion of public health.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be registered as a nurse level 1 (adult) with the NMC and will normally have a degree with Honours and relevant nursing experience. English Language Requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based) or equivalent.

Course modules

Providing women centered care; providing women centered care; theory for midwifery practice; providing woman centred care; leading and developing midwifery care; evaluation of midwifery care and practice.
