This course provides a grounding and training in research methods and skills. It aims to provide a broad and practical education in psychological research training which is informed by staff research experience. The course develops strong analytical, research and writing skills and provides qualifications to apply for a job as a research assistant or for higher level research training.
Candidates should have a minimum of an upper 2nd Class (2.1) degree in psychology (or equivalent). English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based) or equivalent.
Modules include: qualitative and quantitative methods; practical research skills and techniques; thesis.
Assessments will be a mixture of examinations and coursework.
