tudents will develop a methodologically and ethically sound project rationale, perform novel research based upon academically rigorous methods, collate experimental findings and exercise critical scientific thought in the interpretation of their findings. The course will provide students with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to obtain employment in the sector, while also developing an ability to communicate through written, oral and IT methods to both specialist and non-specialist audiences, facilitating further study and employment.
An Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in a relevant discipline (such as sports science, sports performance and coaching, physical education, physiotherapy etc.). Applicants from other disciplines may be admitted where they can demonstrate significant knowledge in anatomy and physiology. Students with other qualifications or experience that is deemed equivalent will be considered.
Research experience; research methods; practical skills and research techniques in exercise science; exercise science dissertation.
