Intellectual Property Advocacy

This course is designed for those who have at least 2 years experience in intellectual property practice, and builds upon students existing knowledge and experience; it enables practitioners to meet challenges and exercise rights before the new Patents County Court, the Intellectual Property Court and on appeal.

Course modules

The following will be covered: case preparation for the advocate; opening statements; witness examination (chief / cross/ re-examination); legal and evidential submissions; closing speeches; mock trial.
