Neuropharmacology

This stimulating course is designed to give students the theoretical and practical skills needed to enter a career in a neuropharmacology either in an academic institution, a research institute or in the industrial/business sector. Entry requirements

MSc

UK Honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in biological subject. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.

MRes

UK Honours degree (minimum 2.1) or equivalent in biological subject. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.

Course modules

Research Methods and Bioethics; Cell Biology and Physiology; Cognitive Neuroscience; Techniques in Macromolecular Analysis; Neurophysiology; Pharmacology; Research Project.

Assessment methods

Research project; written assignment; case studies; poster and oral presentations; laboratory reports; formal examinations; skills portfolio.
