Interactive Media Engineering

Students on this course learn about the theory and master the practice of the creation and application of a variety of digital interactive systems. We attract a diverse student body - we have had artists who wanted to present their material on the Internet, engineers who wanted to create product and factory simulations, and even an archaeologist who wanted to create a virtual museum. This course includes an optional work placement year.

Entry requirements

A UK Honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in any relevant subject discipline. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.

Interactive Design for Web Applications; Media Creation Technology; Computer Games Development; Mobile Interactive Systems; Engineering Interactive Applications; Research Methods; Major Project.

Assessment methods

Coursework and a major project. There are no formal examinations.
