This course focuses on the economic analysis of financial issues, financial products and international financial markets.
An undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate Honours degree (2.2 or above) which includes equally successful study of a substantial amount of quantitative analysis;�and at least intermediate level study (e.g. Higher Education level 2) of economics or finance, or a recognised equivalent qualification.
Core modules: quantitative methods for economics and finance; information and risk; macroeconomic environment; international banking and financial markets; derivatives markets: forwards and futures; informational efficiency in financial markets; research planning and methods for economics and finance; independent research project; optional modules: economic and financial modelling; financial market analysis; derivatives markets: options; international macroeconomics.
