Professional Coaching Practice
Coaching has emerged as an important discipline for managers wishing to enhance their own skills and improve the performance of individual employees and organisations; this programme responds to those needs and provides the students with an opportunity for further professional development and enhanced career development at a time when a postgraduate level qualification in coaching is becoming increasingly recognised by employers in all sectors; this course aims to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence of participants to become effective coaches in the workplace; it is suitable for those wishing to improve their performance (and that of others) and take responsibility for their own learning.
At least 2 years professional experience in areas such as line management; human resources (HR); learning, training and development; consultancy or a similar professional role; IELTS 6.5 (minimum reading and writing score 6.0)/TOEFL 560 (minimum writing score 5)/TOEFL iBT 83 (minimum writing score 24).
Modules include: coaching in context; developing coaching competence; reflections on professional practice.
Written assignments; tutor assessment; and a reflective journal.
