Nottingham Trent University
Marketing (Advertising and Communications)
This route is aimed at students with a particular interest in marketing communications and who are aiming for a career in advertising or brand management; the programme is founded on a dynamic relationship between marketing theory and the practice of marketing; central to this is the view that marketing should be conceptualised as more than a function or a series of isolated tasks, it is also an organisational strategy and way of thinking that can be shared across the whole organisation; each students modules therefore follow a structured thematic approach that explores core marketing tasks but in a way that emphasises the complexity of these and the need to use judgement and creativity.
An undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate Honours degree (2.2 or above).
Core modules: strategic perspectives on marketing; operational marketing, research methods; the customer experience; contemporary issues and marketing; applied consultancy project. Specialist route modules: advertising and marketing communications; managing the corporate brand.
