This programme has been accepted as a Dual Award with The Chartered Institute of Marketing and is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in retail marketing or buying where marketing is considered specifically from a retail perspective, including managing the supply chain; no matter which option is selected, students study a specialist marketing programme that has been designed to provide the skills, knowledge, understanding, practical abilities and confidence required by high achieving marketing professionals in the global economy; consultation with the marketing industry ensures that what our students study is contemporary and that the course as a whole delivers what employers want from graduates, whilst maintaining the academic content required for study at this level.
An undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate Honours degree (2.2 or above).
Core modules: strategic perspectives on marketing; operational marketing; research methods; the customer experience; contemporary issues and marketing; applied consultancy project. Specialist route modules: retail branding and positioning; retail buying and global supply chain.
Assessments is carried out on both an individual and group basis, and includes: marketing research activities, presentations, case studies, seminar papers, and a marketing consultancy report as part of a live project.
