The School has a strong focus on exploring the synergies between designed objects and the environment, and the methods, engineering and materials of their production; staff and postgraduate researchers undertake original investigations to develop systems, solutions and designs that contribute to enhancing our understanding of the built environment and objects within it; current research groups include: architectural design and global difference; construction management and procurement; lean project management; materials research network; product design; property and planning; real estate economics investment and development; sustainable building technology; sustainable consumption.
