Culture, Style and Fashion
An Honours degree (minimum 2.1) or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience; a short written response to a set question, or a proposal for an investigation, into an aspect of style culture. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.
Culture, Style and Fashion (180 credit points)
Assessment is 100 per cent based on coursework. Style matters: histories and theories in style culture: 5,000-word essay plus 2 pieces of journalism of 700 words each. Surface and depth: themes and methodologies: 2 negotiated written or visual outcomes of 2,000 words each; audio / visual presentation and; individual 20-minute symposium presentation of 2,000 words. Negotiated independent research project: 15,000-word thesis or; 2 academic journal articles of 5,000 to 7,000 words each or; a negotiated range of outcomes - for example, 1 conference paper plus 1 five-minute audio / visual presentation, and 3 journalistic articles of 2,000 words each.
