This course has recently been revalidated so that the successful completion of all its elements will result in the award of a Master's degree: LLM Legal Practice Course. As well as providing you with an internationally recognised qualification, you will leave NLS with enhanced insight into the legal profession and better equipped to succeed.
A qualifying law degree (2.2 or above); or a graduate diploma in law or a common professional examination with an undergraduate degree (normally 2:2 or above); or the Institute of Legal Executives qualification in their personal statement. International and EU students also need to meet English language requirements.
Assessments are designed to integrate with the course as a whole; each stage of the LPC's content is assessed at the end of that stage, in February and in June; students are assessed in each skill, designed to establish competence, on a pass/fail basis and by examination in each of the 3 compulsory and elective subjects (students own prescribed materials are allowed in the examinations).
