Endangered Species Recovery and Conservation

Delivered in conjunction with the Durrell Conservation Academy, this course provides students with an international outlook on species recovery. It has been designed to enhance employment or research opportunities and produce students who meet the global need for scientifically literate and technically expert individuals who can bridge the gap between in situ and ex situ approaches to conservation.

Entry requirements

MRes: 2.1 Honours degree or higher in a relevant science degree; MSc: 2.2 Honours degree or higher in a relevant science degree. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 with minimum of 5.5 in each component.

Course modules

Modules include: research methods and data analysis; conservation priorities; species recovery: theories, methods and techniques; captive breeding and husbandry; conservation genetics; geographical information systems (GIS).
