This course allows students to develop their artistic practice whilst engaging professionally with the arts community in Nottingham. Students will critically engage with, interrogate and resolve their own practice, leading to an informed and established body of work. With an emphasis on professional practice and audience engagement, students will widen their network working with partners across the city of Nottingham, preparing them for the rigours of contemporary practice as an artist and researcher.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience and examples of work. Applicants whose 1st language is not English will need IELTS 6.5 with minimum of 5.5 in each component.

Course modules

Modules: research and context; project development; project realisation and presentation.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by coursework and involves verbal and visual articulation of practice, learning agreement, presentation of work in the form of an exhibition.
