Advanced Materials Engineering
This course enables you to develop and further your knowledge of materials engineering. It is ideal if you have a strong materials background and wish to gain more specialist knowledge of advanced engineering materials.
A UK Honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a chemistry related subject including forensic science, pharmacology and pharmacy; applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications are considered; international students need IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 5.5 in reading, listening, speaking and writing) or TOEFL iBT 83 (with minimum reading:18, listening:17, speaking: 20, writing: 17); other English language qualifications may be taken into consideration.
Modules include: Physical properties of solid state and nano composite materials; inorganic chemistry beyond the molecule; research methods; research project.
Written exam; oral presentation; assignment; poster presentation; thesis.
